The Euskadi Historical Archive inaugurates on June 9 The photographic exhibition 'Image and History 1939-1980' coinciding with the International Day of the Archives. The photographs that will be shown will help people visit the exhibition to better understand the past and history of the Basque Country. The Euskadi Historical Archive has prepared the exhibition with photographs of its funds and collections, proposing a tour of different moments of history.

The photos are of several sources. On the one hand, works of photographers of the second half of the twentieth century, of different profiles and trajectories. The exhibition gathers works by Germán Elorza, Manu Leguineche or Juantxu Rodríguez, but there are also photographs saved in files of the Historical Archive of the Basque Government, between 1936 and 1945. In the exhibition you can also see copies of the late nineteenth century of the collection of the collection of the collection of the collection of the file.

In the permanent exhibition that opens on June 9, almost a thousand photographs of which about 70 will be of large format will be shown. The sample is divided between the hall and the first floor of the Historical Archive of Euskadi.
